A new website, made from the one you already have.
I'm Ian. I take small-business websites that have fallen behind and rebuild them: your own text and photos, built properly for phones and today's browsers. You see the finished site before you decide anything.

Your website caught my eye because it's out of date.
I look at small-business websites the way any visitor does. When one shows the signs below, I build an updated version and email the owner a private link to it. I don't log in anywhere, I don't test sites for weaknesses, and I never change anything on yours.
Not interested? Reply "no thanks" and you won't hear from me again.
You see it first. Then you decide.
I rebuild your site
Every page, with your own text, photos and colours, built to work well on phones and to load fast.
You look at it
You get a private link. It isn't in search engines and it's taken down after 30 days unless you want it.
It goes live, if you want
We adjust what you'd like changed, then I put it on your own domain. Your email keeps working as it does now.
One price for the site. No monthly hosting.
You pay once, when the site goes live. It runs on Cloudflare's network, which hosts sites like this without charge, so there's no hosting bill; you only keep paying for your domain name, as you do now.

One company, one person you talk to.

Good to know
Why did I get an email from you?
Your website is public, and when I looked at it like any visitor would, it showed signs of being out of date. I email a few businesses like that each day, each with an updated version of their own site. It's a one-off; reply "no thanks" and I won't write again.
Did you access or test my website?
No. I only read the public pages any visitor sees, and I respect robots.txt. I never log in, scan for weaknesses or change anything.
Who can see the new version?
Only people with the link. It's hidden from search engines and taken down after 30 days unless you want to keep it.
What happens to my email and domain?
Nothing changes. Your domain stays where it is and your email keeps working. When the site goes live, only the website part of your domain is pointed to the new site.
What does Cloudflare do, and why is there no hosting fee?
Cloudflare is the company that puts your website on the internet. It runs one of the largest networks in the world: millions of websites use it, and it serves each page from a server close to the visitor, so your site loads fast wherever people are. The secure connection (the padlock, HTTPS) is included and renews itself, and Cloudflare filters out attacks before they reach your site.
Why is it free? Cloudflare earns its money from larger companies that pay for its security services. The free sites help protect those customers: every site on its network shows Cloudflare new attacks as they happen, so the more sites it carries, the sooner it can block an attack for everyone. And for a site like yours, hosting costs Cloudflare almost nothing: your new site is a set of ready-made pages, with no WordPress, database or plugins running behind it, so Cloudflare only has to hand out copies of those pages from its servers. That's why there's no monthly hosting bill to pass on to you. You keep paying only for your domain name, with your current provider.
Who owns the website?
You do. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, you get the code.
Want to see your site redone?
Send me your website address and I'll take a look.
- I reply within one working day. I'm in the Netherlands, so that's usually your morning.
- If your site is a good fit, I make the new version and send you the private link.
- You decide after you've seen it. No contract before that.
